Kathryn Fitzsimmons – Maid of Honor
Growing up as the Fitzsimmons sisters, Katie and Kelsey have always been a force to be reckoned with. Katie has always looked out for her little sis and Kelsey couldn’t appreciate it more. From creating dance routines as kids (forcing our parents to watch) to going on sister trips as adults (Orlando, South Dakota, Iowa, Omaha, Austin,) they always have each other’s back! Katie will always be a companion, a best friend, and a confidant to Kelsey. In so many ways it is extremely difficult to recap the time these sisters have shared together because there are seriously way too many amazing memories/stories/celebrations to capture in just a few sentences – anyone with a close sibling can relate. They have laughed together, cried together, laughed until they’ve cried, and look forward to a lifetime of sisterhood. Katie and Kelsey are lucky enough to share childhood memories and grown up dreams. Forever sisters and always friends – Fitzsimmons seasters we’ll be!
Jennalyn Craven – Matron of Honor
Quoting Jenna herself “this friendship was love at first tequila shot”. The first night Jenna and Kelsey met they both were hesitant of a new female friendship but went along with Alex & Bob’s plan – little did they know taking a tequila shot, both falling asleep at the midnight movie of the Shining, and waking up giggling about it that they were actually two peas in a pod. Kelsey has never met someone as exceptional as Jenna – her drive, enthusiasm for beer, Martha Stewart gene, and simply her laugh can brighten any room. Jenna is wise beyond her years and her straight shooting attitude is a breath of fresh air when actually having to live in reality. Thanks to Jenna, Kelsey stays grounded, up to date on the latest TV shows, and should be making more trips to California. No matter the distance Kelsey and Jenna will be friends for life!
Kaitlin Sherman – Bridesmaid
Boots… better known as Kait will always hold a special place in Kelsey’s heart. Beginning a friendship in high school the two redefined how much fun life can be and bring out the best in each other! A friendship that can last high school suspensions (whoops), mouth surgeries, and “New Year’s Eve Fireworks” in Savannah, GA is one for the books – literally they should probably write a book about the shenanigans they have had. No matter the distance Kait and Kelsey are able to pick up right where they left off. Kait’s humor and sense of style is a gift for those who know her and she will always be Kelsey’s sandwich lady. Kait is one unique lady and Kelsey has only been a better person having you in her life.
Haley Kultgen Martinez – Bridesmaid
Haley and Kelsey first bonded over mastering the Robin Step. For those not aware, competitive dance was a large part of Kelsey and Haley’s middle school years and having a signature dance move is essential for any dance studio. Although the competitive dance is in the past, this signature friendship is still a routine to master together – and thankfully Haley and Kelsey have each other to help practice and conquer this thing called life. Haley is a strong, free-thinking, supportive friend. Haley and Kelsey both survived Colorado Springs, the good old Emo days, and freshman year of college thanks to each other. A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you – so Haley, thanks for always having time to chat on the phone and hear all the TMI moments throughout the years of friendship. Haley is a loyal, caring, honest friend – here is to many more years of TMI!
Kendra Rizzo – Bridesmaid
Kendra and Kelsey were suitemates at DU fresh out of high school. Both 18, Colorado natives, and from Colorado Springs they both were excited what the “Big City” had to offer. Little did they know how much impact each would have on each other’s lives. From near and far, thick and thin times, Kendra and Kelsey have been able to share their love of trying new things, music, and fine dining. Kendra has always encouraged and supported Kelsey to be true to herself and is the best pal to call for a stiff cocktail if needed at the end of the day. Cheers to a decade of friendship with many more fun filled memories to come!
